Manhattan Beach, the affluent community of the three coastal cities in Los Angeles County in South Bay, does not permit animals with or without a leash in the beach area. This policy also applies to the other two beach towns to the south: Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Although dogs are not allowed on the beach or pier, they are welcome on the streets of downtown and at The Strand. There are many freshwater stations with low bowls along this part of the coast, so there's plenty of room for walking, jogging and running with your dog.
